Hello,

My contract with sprint is almost up. I was wondering what cell phone service is a good one to go to? I was wanting to go with Cingular because most of my family is on it. but they want to charge me a $500 deposit becuase I dont have any credit astablished!! that is way to much to pay out for cell service imo!

any ideas?

It depends what you're looking to get from your cell phone company, how much you travel, if you want an accessible phone, just how accessible do you want it, and who has service in your area. (I'm sure there're more things to consider but those came to the top of my head.)

I have Verizon Wireless and I'm very happy with it. Yes it depends on how much you travel and what you want from a cell phone company , what kind of phone you want, what features you want on your phone etc.

Ok, I payed the 500 credit thing. If you pay your bill on time they will give it back to you in a year. Cingular is well worth it. It has the best coverage ever. I had verizon and sprint. Now, I'm in florida, i don't know about where you are but cingular is the best one i know of. plus they have good customer service.

I've got Cingular (now AT&T). I'm happy with the service, but $500 really is a lot to pay, even if you do get it back in a year.

I agree with those that said there are tons of factors to consider, so I'd say your best bet would be to talk to various companies to see what they have to offer, then find out which's most appealing to you.

ok, the best cell phone company to go with is Verizon Wireless. The reason for this is because Verizon Wirless has the best signal . I was went Cingular before and they really didn't have the best signal. Along with there costomer service. I have been with jVerizon for a year now and love it!!!

I have verizon wireless and a lg vx8300. Great coverage and a great phone! Good experience with customer service as well. I've traveled back and forth and up and down this country, and so far, verizon seems to have some of the most exstensive coverage. It failed me a bit in Wyomi and Nebraska.

Lol, I know I misspelled that state...grin!

Hmm--I wonder why it didn't have that much coverage in those two states? Weird.

I have Cingular/At And T and it works very well when verizon does not. I guess you can add Florida to the states that verizon does not work well.

Verizon works almost any where. They are the best!! I have the LGVX8300 and I love it!!

I have Verizon, and have been very happy with its coverage and customer service. I would definitely recommend them. However, if you don't have established credit, almost any company is going to make you pay a pretty high deposit.

that's cool. I have the lg 5300, I was going to get the 8350 but my mom got it.

I like the LG 5300 better than the 8350. I also have quite a few close friends with Sprint. From what I've seen of their experiences, Sprint does have good network and signal. However, if you ever need customer service, fat chance of getting someone who speaks English. They outsource all of it.

I have A T and T and luv it! For some reason, we don't have Verizon in this area, so people that have it don't get very good service or none at all here. I don't know y. We have every other cell phone company. Fortunately, since I had credit established when I switched to AtandT, I didn't have to worry about a deposit. Thank God!

oh wow! I wonder why Verizon isn't covered there? I thought Verizon was supposed to cover stuff like that.
